When I was 16 my dad and I carried my mom into a chiropractor's office, in St. Louis MO., after she had been in bed for six weeks, with severe back pain and had been told she would need surgery.
She walked out!!!!
That was it, my decision was made! I love people and love to be active and work with my hands and what could I do that would help more people?
At that point I started going to school year round, including intercessions and graduated from Logan chiropractic college as one of their youngest ever!
After 20 years in practice and at one time having the largest dollar grossing practice is the country, I sold the practice and entered the world of mentoring, training and teaching.
Because of my direct involvement with mentoring to doctors, regarding all aspects of their practices, all over the country, I am constantly being exposed to the ‘issues of the day’.
I spend a great deal of my time uncovering the things that you hate to do (the same things I would hate to do, if I were in active practice) and then develop training programs to help make your life easier.
To protect you relative to risk aspects within today’s practice and free your time to render the miraculous treatments we are meant to provide to mankind!

The biggest, scariest, and most complicated (time suck) today is government compliance—especially cybersecurity and HIPAA.
Government compliance fines and sanctions are the single biggest risk to a chiropractic office. Even major malpractice carriers say, “You are more likely to have a major financial disaster from a compliance fine than a malpractice or civil law suit!!!”
Times have changed and doctors:
1. Do not know what they do not know! Because they have heard ‘something about it’ they think they know ‘all about it ‘ and then get themselves in trouble.
2. Do not know how PREVALENT these fines and sanctions are, because their peers do not talk about getting in trouble. These are federal investigations that can affect your license, your standing in the community, your PPO contracts and much more.
3. Do not realize what needs to be done to be compliant and once they do, they have no idea or do not have the time, to implement what needs to be done.
4. Fail to understand that there are two components to every compliance program... First, you have to customize and implement the program into your office. When you do that , by the law, it will tell you what parts of the process you must review, evaluate or self audit and at what intervals.
If you do not perform and document these reviews, evaluations and/or self audits, then you are in a classification called ‘willful neglect’. Willful neglect is that which the doctor knew OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN and did not do.
As an example, a willful neglect fine, under HIPAA, is a minimum $59,255.00!!!
5. Do not understand ransomware attacks as being the most common attack against chiropractors and how to prevent them and the automatic HIPAA violation that occurs when you are attacked!
…. And, on average, to solve this type of cyber attack costs over $100,000 and can result in closing your office FOREVER! IN FACT, AT THE LIVE EVENT I SHOW A VIDEO OF A CHIROPRACTOR SHARING THEIR CYBERATTACK EXPERIENCE!!

If you know and understand the law (and the dozen or so reviews, audits and evaluations that are required each and every year, year after year, from now on) then you KNOW if you are incorporating each of the rules and ‘signing off’ on those annual updates... and therefore, there is no "THINKING" about it!
I see an extremely bright future for chiropractic, for those who come into this century and protect their hard earned practice
This is the time for chiropractors to take their rightful place in the hierarchy of health care for the benefit of mankind!!!
